At 14, Davide left Costa Rica to attend an international high school in India. Immersed in a melting pot of cultures and textures, he found himself magnetically drawn to the world of textiles. Fascinated by the techniques and traditions of Indian denim producers, he started visiting factories between classes — unknowingly stitching together the foundation of his future.
Later, in the United States, his education in art, economics, and entrepreneurship led him to a concept he would call creative entrepreneurship — the art of blending soul and structure in business. Inspired by his roommate’s father, who turned surplus jeans into a denim empire (Desigual), Davide began reimagining denim jackets: reshaped seams, colorful stitching, and artistic back panels created in collaboration with painters. A first fashion show in a New York basement turned into word-of-mouth sales, then strangers buying his pieces — including one unforgettable sighting in Times Square.
But production power was still limited. With demand growing and only a small team at hand, Davide return to Colombia (where he was born) with the idea of staying a year. That year became a calling.
He launched a boutique production line, eventually selling through department stores and Amazon. Then came the unexpected: brands began approaching him not for his jackets, but for his production expertise. He realized others needed help with what he had mastered — denim that molds, performs, and stays true after wash. Thus, a second vertical was born: full-package denim development for external brands.
Today, Denim Ventures is built on that journey. We produce for our own brands and others, combining marketing knowledge, high-performance patternmaking, and complex shrinkage management — because premium denim demands more than thread and machines. It demands heart, structure, and vision. And that’s what we offer.
